Free Detectors & Replacements

Working smoke detectors saves lives! The Wingate Volunteer Fire Department is happy to provide citizens in need with working detectors for free. Members of our organization will come out to your residence and replace batteries or change out your smoke detector if needed. They will also provide safety tips and assist families to create fire escape plans.
