As financial stewards of the Town, the Finance Department is dedicated to managing the Town’s resources in a fiscally conservative manner and maintaining a financial record keeping system according to generally accepted accounting principles. The department is responsible for accounting and financial reporting, monitoring of Town purchasing and paying financial obligations, accounts receivable, grant accounting, debt management activities and providing payroll services to Town employees.

Tax Collection

Union County collects property tax bills for Town of Wingate. To make a tax payment, contact Union County Tax Administration - Revenue Division at 704-283-3848 or visit their website.

Privilege License Collection

The Town of Wingate has stopped collecting privilege license taxes and issuing business licenses; however, businesses are still required to obtain any zoning or permitting approval for their business.
